Getting started

Review extraction

When you are ready to review your document, click through to the review page. You should see general information about the document and a map containing various elements:

  • Features from your document mapped (centre)
  • A left hand panel listing those features and showing their associated data
  • A right hand panel showing the original document with controls to allow you to zoom in and out of the document, paginate through it etc.
  • A right hand tool bar featuring additional controls (see below for more detail)
The text above describes what is shown in this video.

There is more detail on the various map editing tools in the next section but in the right hand tool bar you will find the following action:

  • ‘Toggle full screen’ - It is recommended to work in full screen so you can easily see all parts of the extraction.
  • ‘Show/hide PDF’ - this will hide and show the right hand panel showing the original document. Sometimes you may wish to hide this to allow yourself more space on the map.
  • ‘Centre’ - if for some reason the map features have moved out of view, click this to bring them back into the centre.
  • ‘Snap’ - This makes elements move by increments rather than freeform
  • ‘Zoom in / out’ - Zooms the map in and out. This can be also be done by pinching a track pad or scrolling a mouse wheel over the map.
  • ‘OS Map’ - shows an OS map behind your extracted features.
  • ‘Satellite’ - shows a satellite map behind your extracted features.
