Other map overlay features

When making changes to the overlay (e.g. by moving it), you will notice that the features (trees, zones etc.) are automatically updated relatively. If for some reason you do not want that to happen, uncheck the ‘Move trees and zones with map’ box and the features will be unaffected by the edits to the overlay.

Extracted map overlays can be downloaded as GeoTIFFs. You can read more about GeoTIFFs here (opens in a new window) but essentially they are image files with their geolocation information stored within the file. This allows you to upload these images into compliant mapping software and they will be placed automatically.
